I found the arena to be so fun, and the art style to be appetizing but not overly complicated (which helped me focus on the gameplay). Also, the opening menu was super cool! I would love it if the menu's theming around graveyards could tie more directly into the arena in some way.
Hellooo! I tried the game a tiny bit and here are some things to think about if you wanna? When it comes to the arena as SnakenBacon said the temporary buffs are not appetizing at all when you compare them to the permanent ones. The game lacks in interactivity, by that I mean something that you do that significantly changes the playstate, perhaps you could think of adding different attacks or skills like a jump or a shield as SnaconBacon already suggested
Last thing I'd like to bring up is that I have no idea how I'm supposed to interact with the game outside of the arena and have no clue what's supposed to be the fun part of it, so you can think of either a tutorial or just some better communication around that. (I dunno if you attended the OODA loop talk but I think it could potentially help with somethings, it is a pretty good tool imo)
Either way thanks for working hard and making a cool thing!!!
The arena was really fun! I liked the constant early level ups and the shooting action. I tried the temporary power ups but it seems like long term stat upgrades are always better. The game ramps in difficulty quickly and by level 12, it seems my firepower can never overtake the hordes of enemies and I lose.
It might take a lot of code to implement but I think a rotating shield around the player that can deal damage would be a fun mechanic.
I figured how to create projects and move them, but for some reason I cannot add tasks. It's a good idea, but the productivity part of the game doesn't seem to have any connection to the game part of the game. Maybe there is a way to tie them together, or maybe you should focus on one over the other?
Also, it's a little strange that enemies spawn outside of the arena. I was a little sad when I defeated them early and couldn't pick up the gems they dropped because of the boundaries.

Good job getting this up early!
